God's TRUTH about life!

One day I decided to quit. I quit my job, my
relationship, my spirituality, I wanted to quit my
life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with GOD. "GOD", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to
quit?"
His answer surprised me......
"Look around", GOD said. "Do you see the fern and the
bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took
very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them
water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its
brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came
from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on
the bamboo.
In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and
plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo
seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo." GOD said.
"In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo
seed. But I would not quit."
In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit." GOD said.
"Then in the fifth year, a tiny sprout emerged from the
earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and
insignificant...But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100
feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made
it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not
give any of my creations a challenge it could not
handle.
" GOD said to me.
"Did you know, that all this time you have been
struggling, you have actually been growing roots
?"
"I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on
you."
"Don't compare yourself to others." GOD said. "The
bamboo had a different purpose than the fern
. Yet they
both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come", GOD said to me. "You will rise
high"
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" GOD asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned
"Yes." GOD said, "Give me glory by rising as high as
you can
."
I left the forest and brought back this story. I hope
these words can help you see that GOD will never give
up on you.

GOD will never give up on you. "Life is not a problem to be solved but a gift to be enjoyed!"

Peace ain't the absence of troubles!

Many of us pray for the PEACE of God to be with us but do we really understand what God means when He promises us His peace? Peace isn't the absence of troubles and problems, it is the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF GOD'S PRESENCE. God says that in this world, problems are INEVITABLE but He also promises His peace.
John 16: 33
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Knowing this, it'll be really funny to hear of people giving up their faith and choosing the "easier" way out. God has given us the assurance that He'll be there to help and deliver us from every problem and that He's always near in every circumstance by the promises He gave in His Word. EVERY single problem we face isn't anything new for God. In fact, He has given us the promises found in the Bible for us to cling onto so that we will emerge STRONGER after coming out of whatever situations we may be in. Backsliding will be a joke to God because it seems rather absurd for a man to turn away from a God who is FAITHFUL to every promise He has given us. Never forget that we're called to walk by FAITH and not by sight. Our circumstances, situations, problems, frustrations, disappointments either pull us down or take us up higher. The choice is ours. God has given MORE than what we could ask for and the decision lies in us whether to take them or not. We have His peace, we have His presence, we have the ALMIGHTY with us!

His promises await!

"So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time." An all familiar verse but something we should all cling on to. Take a closer look at this verse. All it requires you to do is to 1) BELIEVE in it, and, 2) ACT on it - KEEP DOING GOOD. That's all it requires for a person to reap what God has installed for him/her. Notice that the verse reminded us that we WILL reap, but only at the APPROPRIATE time. Having understood this, wouldn't it be foolish to give up and back out? Wouldn't that be just nothing more than impatience? 2 simple things God asked for from us when He gave us this promise. BELIEVE + ACT. Sometimes we don't need a miracle, we just need to renew our minds! The Bible says that even when we are faithless, God is ALWAYS faithful. ALWAYS. Having known that, be encouraged, keep on keeping on and stand, knowing that God is true to His Word and His blessings await!

Favour!

Interestingly, favour's a word we so often use but yet many of us don't really know what we mean when we use it. As such, we don't fully understand what God means when He promises us His favour and that we WILL have the favour of men. Favour isn't "chance", "luck" or "good fortune". Favour is the invisible desire someone has to help you succeed. We need others to take us to places we haven't been and we all know that the friends we have in our lives either take us closer to or further away from God's will for our lives. We must seek to please those whom God has placed over our lives. We must understand that those God has placed over our lives are PHYSICAL REPRESENTATIVES of Jesus in our lives. Pleasing, serving and fighting for them IS pleasing, serving and fighting for Jesus.
