There is no chance i won't get it, i will get it!

Life is a not a race to be won, but a journey to be ENJOYED. There are seasons in life.
Ec 3: 1
There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven.
Great things await everyone. There's only one problem- People don't tend to wait. Or should i say, people DON'T like waiting. There is a season for everything. A season for sowing, a season for reaping, a season of preparation and a season of glory. Just as God promises that He has good plans for us to give us a future and a hope, He also expects something from us. Remember that Moses had to wait 25 years even when he received His part of the promise from God at the age of 75 for his child, isaac! From that story we can learn that Moses not only had FAITH, he had the PATIENCE. Many of us focus on faith and forget the other part of the requirement. God never moves at our timings, He moves by His seasons. If a promise or a dream from God has been planted in your heart, cling on with all you have to God - that's the best any man can do. Don't lose hope, don't lose heart, don't give up.
Gal 6: 9
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Never leave out the part of the verse which says, IN DUE SEASON. Have faith, have patience, it will happen.
Now you know this, but it doesn't stop the frustration, pain, disturbing thoughts, negative feelings? Remember, life is not a race to be won, but a journey to be ENJOYED. Being happy is a choice. Know that whatever we may be going through, God is still the LORD of everything. If you are going through a season which requires patience, be sure to know that God is preparing you for GREATER THINGS to come. As long as you know that, faith, hope and happiness will follow.
As Christians, we are to live a life of the impossbile. It isn't just enough to do the ordinary or even great things, we are to be doing EXTRAORDINARY and IMPOSSIBLE things simply because we have God. The worst tragedy are Christians who never lived. We aren't called to ordinary, average or mediocrity. Believe and the impossible will be possible!
Mk 9: 23
"What do you mean, 'If I can'?" Jesus asked. "Anything is possible if a person believes."

say YES and AMEN

While i tossed and turned in bed for a while after Arsenal's fantabulous victory against Real Madrid, something was stirring up on the inside of me which kept me awake, wide awake. After realizing that i only had an hour or so to sleep before i had to finally get up for school, i figured i'll rather spend that time more wisely. Since i couldn't sleep, i got out of bed and picked up the guitar and started praying just before dawn. It was an AWESOME time. A time i'll hang on to and one which will never leave my mind. Received something in that wonderful process- "who am i to say no?".
Who am i to say no to God's promises?
Who am i to say no to being the head and not the tail?
Who am i to say no that ALL things work together for good to those who love Him?
Who am i to say no to every promise He has made in His Word?
Many times, we find it hard to accept God's promises in times of crisis or failure and in the process, start to lose sight of our dream when faith leaks and hope differed. Verses like the ones above stated seem like a far cry from your current situation and may even seem like an impossibilty. EXACTLY. It was never meant to be possible! Another thing i've caught - A dream is NOT a dream if you know how to go about achieving it. A dream is only a dream if you have NO IDEA at all how to go about getting it and most important of all, if God is the LORD of it. If anything you want or desire seems POSSIBLE in your mind, you might want to consider dreaming BIGGER. Personally, i find the hardest and best thing a man can do is to live out a dream. Because while on the journey, it will seem that everything is coming against you and there'll be 2 possible outcomes.
1. It will cost you to lose sight of your dream and you might just say to yourself, "nah, it's too hard, what's e point of trying so hard anyway?"
2. It will lead you to lean onto God and trust Him even more, claim and confess his promises and in the process, build FAITH.
So if you're reading this and you're in a situation where you don't know whether to pursue your dreams or to just let it all go, be sure that WITH God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! What the devil meant for evil, God can turn it around for your GOOD. Remember, all He ever asks is for you to have FAITH.
Mt 17:20
"You didn't have enough faith," Jesus told them. "I assure you, even if you had faith as small as a mustard seed you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible."

what's up tomorrow?

The life i live today is the result of the thoughts i had yesterday.
The life i'm about to experience tomorrow is the DIRECT RESULT of the thoughts i have TODAY!
It doesn't matter how discouraging the situation seems, what matters at the end of the day is the Word of God. What you believe in is what you're gonna get. The thoughts you choose to let roam in your mind is gonna be the life you live not very long from now. I've realized that the mark of maturity is when you hold on and believe in the Word of God even when everything else seems to be against you. Not an easy feat and that's the very reason why we're called to live by FAITH. If there are dreams you are living for, never give up! I choose to live on the Word and it says "DO NOT grow weary while doing good for in DUE SEASON, you shall reap if you DO NOT lose heart". The bible clearly states that what you want and desire will come at the appropriate time, God's time. All that God asks is that you keep doing what's right and that you never lose hope but instead, live by faith. Remember that His thoughts and ways are HIGHER than ours. Don't try to outsmart God, don't try to want things your way, instead trust in His Word!
Something to think about: Every thought that comes to your mind in contrary to God's Word is NOT your thought. Simply because Jesus said that we are RIGHTEOUS and the thoughts of the RIGHTEOUS are right. We're RIGHTEOUS in the eyes of Christ because of what He's done. A smart thing to do will be to reject those thoughts because if they're not from you, guess who they're from? =)

GREATER things are coming!

Indeed as e title suggests, GREATER things await! Pulled out of 2005, PUSHED into 2006. No eye has seen, no ear heard, no mind perceived what the LORD has installed for those who love Him! Where i'm standing, what i'm facing, what i've done, how i feel is no longer relevant. Yes they matter, yes they are facts. But i choose to stand on God's TRUTH. That as we delight ourselves in Him, He'll grant us the desires of our heart. That ALL things will work together for GOOD to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Standing by the things He's said, standing by the promises He's made. Falling back on everything He's done, falling back on EVERLASTING arms. Hey, i don't know what tomorrow will be like, but i sure know that come what may, I'm bashing through it because I'm held in His hands. I'm contented simply by the fact that He's with me and that He loves me. 2006 will be the greatest year yet. Things will start to happen, things will start to change. Miracles await! Come what may, God loves me and He will never let me go, period. MIRACLES AWAIT! =)

weeeeeeeeeEEEE!

wooohhhoooooo.
Good test. Good day in school. Good day after school. Good day at home. 145am and it's still a GOOD DAY(morning).
Figured something quite cool and it'll probably be taking a bit of my time from now on. Picked up guitar a couple of months back and managed to get a mike out of some unforeseen circumstance, soooooooooo...i plugged e mike in, started strumming and started what i call "singing" and hey, it was FUN! anyways, something learnt today which is essential and useful but of course, not fogetting the very fact that it is effort and willingness from our part.
Faithfulness - God talks about it throughout His Word and one which i can remember cuz it hit me hard is that "he who is faithful over the little, will be made faithful over MUCH".
FAITHFULNESS : Faithful when it's inconvenient.
Faithful when no one's watching
Faithful when it is dangerous to be faithful.
Faithful when everything is going well.
IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT check list.
Constantly check your life in these 4 areas of faithfulness and ensure that it is kept as close as possible to what God has intended and be ready for the "MUCH" to come!
There's always so much to conquer in life, so many revelations you wanna walk in, so many areas that need change, but hey, it's gonna be all worthwhile ain't it?
Take it slow, take it easy(now, that doesn't mean slack), take it WITH God. Doesn't matter how long it takes, doesn't matter how fast you're going/growing/changing/moving, what matters is that you ARE going/growing/changing/moving. Do what you humanly can, leave the rest to none other than Him. Walk on, walk on STRONG!

sssstttttiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiinnnnnngggggg

Thoughts unknown.
Feelings inexpressible.
Neither wrong nor right.
Uneasiness creeps in.
Is this what i think it really is?
From above or from me?
I'm pretty sure i'm not sure.
Guess what? Back to the principle - What to do when you don't know what to do?
P R A Y

ain't giving up

Ever tried to help someone dear to you?
Ever tried so hard because that someone's your kin?
Ever tried so hard but failed?
Ever seen someone close to you falling prey to the very thing he/she's been trying to overcome?
Ever almost thought of giving up?

I've learnt and acknowledged the fact that not every thing happens HOW you want it to and WHEN you want it to. We've seen victories, we've seen defeats. One thing i know for sure, that delay is never denial. And what's the best thing to do when you really don't know what to do? --> P - R - A - Y
Do what your God-given body, mind, talents, abilities allow you to. Send the rest to heaven through your prayers. Not fighting against flesh and blood here remember? There's more to it than that. Don't try to fight what you're not called to fight. "kiang jiu hou, mai kay kiang" Live on hope, live strong, it'll happen when you least expect it to. Be prepared =)

You doin' it right?

Quit trying to apply the Word into your life and start applying your life to the Word. uhhhh huhh. Sounds like the same thing? Sure ain't the same thing. I'll attempt an example - Many of us will try to apply a certain verse or a quote from the Bible to suit our current situations/circumstances, now that's applying "the Word" into your life. What we're supposed to do is that we ought to CONFORM to the Word, to be shaped, moulded and driven by its principles.
As long as that's the only constancy in our lives, we'll start to experience what Jesus said : "I want you to experience in this life, every treasure and promise that is hidden in My Word"

Come What May

The Excellent Focus On What They're Going "To" While The Average Complain About What They're Going "Through".

"Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)... who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Jesus, our greatest example, demonstrates the power of focus. James 1:2 tells us that life is going to bring many storms and tests our way. Only those who focus on the promises of God will survive. Not understanding your purpose will cause any obstacle to appear insurmountable. It is important to ask ourselves, "Where am I headed in life? What do I want to accomplish, possess, and become?" Those who have no clear purpose, have no internal fortitude to press beyond their current circumstances. We must always remember - our lives move in the direction of our focus. Although what we are going through may seem too difficult to overcome, it is imperative that we focus on the victory that awaits us. Just as an athlete focuses on running the race to win the prize, so we must have a clear distinct image of the victory rather than the storm. As we focus on what we are going to, Heaven will give us the strength to make it through.

In This Journey

There's so much that will come our way in life. There's so much we have to deal with right now. Let what's over be over. 2005 might not have been the best of years but hey, it's 2006 i'm in. If only given a single choice, i'll choose to pin my hopes on Someone who's worthy and able to make what's not right, right. The mistakes,let-downs, disappointments, hurts, frustrations, bitterness and weaknesses of yesterday remains as that. Today's a brand new day so you might as well try taking a shot at living it better. One thing i know, the decisions i make today will shape my tomorrow. One of the wisest things one can do is to think through the convictions he/she wants to have and be sure to live by them. Pinning my hopes on Him. Keeping my faith in Him. I've got one life, I've chosen to give it all i've got to live it with God!
